History
Guardian Technology Group is a third generation company with a history that spans over 57 years. The original company was founded as Hudson Machine Tool Inc. in 1956 by B. D. Hudson a craftsman of his trade. Mr. Hudson ran the business until 1972 specializing in Pattern Making, precision machining, and aluminum and brass castings, servicing the plastic industry, book printing and binding industries, steel wire and forming industries, steel and cast iron foundries, as well as many activities within the Department of Defense.
Mr. Hudson retired in 1972 and was succeeded by his son Charles. Over the next 27 years Charles directed the company primarily in the area of defense related activities. During this period Hudson Machine grew over 400 percent and became a prime source for the design and manufacturing of special machinery and hardware including ammunition loading and demilitarization equipment, weapon support equipment and mounts, and material handling equipment for missiles, bombs, and torpedoes.
That business was sold in 1999 and Hudson Sales and Engineering, a company specializing in the manufacture and sales of mowing equipment for golf putting greens was formed.
Along with 5 sons Guardian Technology Group was formed in 2004 in order to reenter and recapture the military/defense hardware and equipment markets. Although these markets have been the nucleus of company success in the ensuing years, it became obvious that a new, long term focus was needed to insure the future. Guided by third generation leadership and a new vision for the future, it was determined that the company needed new and innovative products to succeed. Hence the Transformance TTE (Total Tool Environment) was conceived. We believe this along with other innovative work and time saving devices soon to be announced will be the future. Although still active, Charles has turned management of the company over to sons Brian, Jeff, Jason, Joe, and Josh Hudson. With the prospect of upcoming participation from generation four the future looks promising.
